Letter to the Editor: Offended by Spanish

As a Truckee resident I to was offended by the Spanish insert in the Sierra Sun paper and promptly recycled it. I believe Mr. Brimer (October O7) in his letter to the editor may have been pointing out the fact that the Sierra Sun was only printing their insert in Spanish and no other recent immigrant native tongue. We can only hope all immigrants to this country want to learn English as their “new primary language,” it would really help to unite our country. Yes our country is very diverse culturally and politically. Mr. Brimer’s opinions might not reflect our own, but they might bring a good balance to the Town Council. I for one am casting my vote for Mr. Brimer.
