Letter to the Editor: Poems to kick off the new year

Mountain life is quite the change from the screaming cars and air with a haze. You can take a deep breath and feel your lungs sing from the beautiful air you are filling them with.

To hear the wind blow and be surrounded by trees that are filled with life not just pigeons and bees. To look at the night ski and stare at the stars not one or two but millions at large. Living here is quite a pleasure. I hope everyone can experience this wonderful treasure.

Fire so bright

Fire so strong

What keeps you moving along

Rays of colors brilliant and bright

Keep you warm on a cold winter night

Devouring the wood bit by bit

Consuming it until there is nothing

but ashes in a pit

Rays of blue with flames of yellow and

tips of orange that crackle and below

Fire so bright

Fire so strong

I hope you keep me warm all night long
