Letter to the editor: Thank you to Rotary Club for generous grant

The Truckee-Donner Historical Society (TDHS) would like to express our gratitude to the Rotary Club of Truckee for the generous grant awarded to commence a digitization project.

TDHS has recently received hundreds of physical donations of artifacts, photographs, and older technology items. At the present time, viewing these items requires a visit to the Joseph Research Library at Meadow Park in Truckee. Our goal is to select items that are representative of our extensive collection, digitize those that we can, photograph those we cannot, and make the images available to view online in an Image Collection database.

This collection will invite a much broader-based audience to view our collections from anywhere through our website at truckeehistory.org. Thank you Rotary Club for helping us to preserve and share our historical heritage.
