Letter to the Editor: Vote Bender for TDPUD Board

Craig Threshie
Former Town of Truckee Mayor

Jeff Bender will get one of my votes for the TDPUD Board. Jeff and I have worked together professionally for a number of years and I can tell you unequivocally, he has a passion for appropriate energy use and his depth of knowledge and everyday practice with energy conservation issues will bring a very valuable perspective to the TDPUD Board.

Jeff runs his own mechanical engineering firm and his work is focused on green building practices, Energy Star compliance and all energy and water related conservation practices as well as on-site renewable power generation design. I believe he will be able to put this great knowledge and skill set to work when determining the best energy and water policies for our community.

Jeff has been serving our community in many valuable ways for many years, most recently as our town Planning Commission Chairman and he has a commitment to Truckee that few can match.

Please join me in voting for Jeff Bender for the Truckee Donner PUD Board.
