Bryant did not deserve arrest
To the editor:
How appalling that the Department of Fish and Game would treat Ann Bryant like a criminal for saving a starving bear cub. I thought Fish and Game was here to help the bears that we are so privileged to co-exist with here in Tahoe.
It seems to me that Fish and Game could use our taxpayer money for a more worthwhile cause such as educating people about living with bears, rather than prosecute Ann who is trying to help these beautiful animals.

Congratulations to new mayor
To the editor:
Congratulations to the Town Council for electing Don McCormack for our mayor.
Don is a man who is dedicated to the Truckee population and is committed to our future in Truckee. He will continue sharing his knowledge, experience, leadership and people skills.
We are so fortunate to have him for the second time around for he will be able to contribute his wisdom and vision.
Through my eyes, the Town Council members are clearly sincere and committed to working together as a team. Don McCormack can provide the kind of leadership to enable and empower this to happen.
Go for it, Mr. Mayor!
