Literacy students welcome, tutors needed in Truckee

Special to the Sun

TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; Do you have a family member, neighbor or friend who has slipped through the cracks in school, perhaps has even graduated from high school. But, still needs additional help with reading, writing, communication and/or math skills?

Read Up! is a county-wide volunteer tutoring service based at the Truckee Library, helping adults, 16 years and older, not enrolled in highschool.

Many of our volunteer literacy tutors are retired teachers, college students, professionals and business people, all willing to help fellow Truckeeites create a better life for themselves through free, confidential one-on-one tutoring.

Can you tutor?

For an immediate interview or information, please contact Truckee Read Up! Coordinator Rolann Aronson at 530-575-7030.
