Loves It to appear at Moody’s Bistro

TRUCKEE, Calif. – Jenny Parrott and Vaughn Walter make up Loves It, an indie folk duo that performs music that draws inspiration from early country, gospel, bluegrass and soul.

Parrott, formerly of New Haven, Conn., and Vaughn Walters, formerly of Rowlesburg, W.Va., were both accomplished solo writers when they decided to collaborate. Parrot brought her love of soul, swing and gospel to the table, while Walters brought his love of country, punk rock and folk.

The two, who are best friends, play mostly original songs and use guitars, vocals, mandolin, banjo and fiddle to create their unique sound. They dreamed of traveling the world together.

That dream has been realized as Loves It is on tour to celebrate the release of their debut album, “YAY!”
