TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; Join Spirit Peer Empowerment Center of Truckee, a peer counseling program to assist with lifeand#8217;s challenges, Friday, Dec. 10, 6:30-8:30 p.m., For Goodness Sake, 10157 Donner Pass Road, Truckee. Spirit Empowerment Center can teach you how to assist mental health professionals in our community to offer advocacy and empowerment skills to community members. Share your time and your life experience in a way that benefits clients and builds community strength. Training to become a peer counselor, help establish a local emergency assistance coalition, assist in developing a program for homeless clients and provide outreach to under served community members. You can make a difference!
