TRUCKEE andamp;#8212; Six Truckee students took home the gold in the California Music Educators (CMEA) All-State Solo and Ensemble Festival at Sacramento State University, Sacramento, Saturday, May 12.These students became eligible to compete at All State after earning a Superior (Gold) at the CMEA North Section Solo andamp; Ensemble Festival, Feb. 11, 2012. Truckee High student Ben Avery was awarded a Gold Medal for Solo Tuba. Alder Creek Middle School Saxophone Quartet of students Otto Elvrum, Rebecca Mason, JP Eikam and Elise Avery, were awarded a Gold Medal for their ensemble performance.
