Music series livens up Friday nights in Kings Beach

KINGS BEACH, Calif. and#8212; The line-up has been confirmed for the 2011 Kings Beach Music on the Beach series. Local favorites the Blues Monsters will again kick off the series at the opening show on July 1.

The free music series kicks off Friday, July 1 and runs every Friday, 6:30-8:30 p.m., until Aug. 19 at the Kings Beach State Recreation Area. Planet Jam, a distinctive and#8216;reggae band with a hint of gypsyand#8217; from Arizona is slated for the series finale on Aug. 19.

and#8220;This music series was absolutely fantastic last year and is now a community favorite on the North Shore,and#8221; said Cheri Sprenger, executive director of the North Tahoe Business Association, which hosts the series. and#8220;With the exceptional line up this year, the crowds will just keep getting bigger and better.and#8221;

The lineup this year is: July 1 – The Blues Monsters; July 8 and#8211; Groove Session; July 15 and#8211; Pyle of Zen; July 22 and#8211; Nevada Arcana; July 29 and#8211; Headphone Union (formerly subjektochange); Aug. 5 and#8211; Tracorum; Aug. 12 and#8211; TinMan; and Aug. 19 and#8211; Planet Jam.

While enjoying the great sounds on the Beach, concert attendees will also have the opportunity to enjoy beverages including draft brews from Great Basin Brewery at the NTBA booth.
