North Shore sheriff’s reports

The following reports are collected from Placer County Sheriff’s Office reports from Oct. 22 to Oct. 25.

Oct. 22

– At 9:22 a.m. an employee of a business in the 2900 block of Lake Forest Drive in Tahoe City reported someone broke a plate glass window, slid the window open and entered the business. The intruder took $200.

– At 6:39 p.m. a resident of the 800 block of Shore Boulevard in Kings Beach reported two suspects took four GM rims from the residence. The victim videoed the suspects taking and loading the rims into vehicles.

Oct. 24

– At 8:07 a.m. it was reported that a generator, three extension cords and three shovels were stolen from Schaffer Mill Road.

Oct. 25

– At 3:34 p.m. during a routine inspection at an apartment complex in the 2100 block of Scott Peak Place in Tahoe City, the North Tahoe Fire Protection District inspector discovered two boxes labeled “Detonators and Explosives.” EOD was called to the scene and deputies cleared the building. After inspection, it was found the boxes were empty and belonged to a blasting technician. He was advised to remove the labels to avoid future misunderstandings.
