North Tahoe ARTour 2011 opens studio doors to public

TAHOE CITY, Calif. and#8212; Come celebrate the 18th annual Tahoe ARTour July 8-10 and 15-17, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. This is a free, self-guided open studio tour featuring 21 artists in the Tahoe Basin, which includes the Greater Truckee area, the West Shore, and the North Shore of Lake Tahoe. The diversity of medium featured includes oil, pastel, acrylic, and watercolor paintings, as well as jewelry, photography, hand weaving, and glass art. The juried process helps ensure excellent quality of work.

A gala reception will be held for the artists at the North Tahoe Arts Center, 380 N. Lake Blvd., Tahoe City, July 7, 5-8 p.m., where music by Lake Tahoe Troubadour Darin Talbot and refreshments will be served while patrons are enjoying examples of each artistand#8217;s work. The public is cordially invited.

Free ARTour 2011 brochure/maps are available at many local businesses which give dates, times and web site information in Truckee, Tahoe City and Kings Beach, as well as at the Chamber of Commerce in Tahoe City and Truckee, the North Tahoe Arts Center and at each artistand#8217;s studio.
