North Tahoe Arts | andamp;#8216;Wildlife in Wild Placesandamp;#8217; and andamp;#8216;Paint the Bearandamp;#8217; announced
TAHOE CITY, Calif. andamp;#8212; North Tahoe Arts welcomes a collaborative wildlife exhibit from local artists Larry Hunt, Fred Boyce, Nina Porcelli-Fenn, Janet Martin, Heidi Reeves, Alice Norton, Pat Edwards, Gretchen Davis, Mark Smith and Burton andamp; Raschen.This is a wonderful collection of artwork encompassing many mediums and an example of natureandamp;#8217;s bounty in the wildlife kingdom. The opening reception will be held Friday, March 2, 5-7 p.m. Light appetizers and wine for donation served.The BEAR League with North Tahoe Arts partners once again to presents the andamp;#8220;Paint the Bearandamp;#8221; event, Saturday, March 3, noon-2 p.m. North Tahoe Arts offers the opportunity to support the artists and organizations dedicated to protecting and educating the public about bears. The BEAR League will offer educational information about bears with subject-related art and crafts for sale. Learn how to live with, enjoy and respect these wondrous creatures. There will be a bearandamp;#8217;s den for the kids to explore. The BEAR League will also present the andamp;#8220;Paint the Bearandamp;#8221; activity for North Tahoe Arts, kids Art Saturday, upstairs in the Corison Loft Gallery, Saturday, March 3, after the SnowFest! Parade around noon. Take the kids to paint their very own wooden bear to keep. The wooden bears were created and donated by Jim Driscollandamp;#8217;s woodworking shop class at Truckee High School.
