TAHOE CITY, Calif. and#8212; Norma Carder, a watercolorist who hikes, paints and teaches at Sierra Nevada College in Incline Village, Nev. first came to the Tahoe area at Thanksgiving from Santa Clara, a trip that changed her life. She was on a ski adventure in Squaw Valley USA and woke to snow-covered trees, and later took in a view of Lake Tahoe. After finishing her education she moved to the Lake to ski, hike and teach. Over the years she has created paintings of mountain scenery both winter and summer. Carder had a dream to put her creations into book form. She will be on hand Friday evening at North Tahoe Arts to sign her completed book and discuss her sojourns in the mountains. Carderand#8217;s original watercolors will grace the Corrison Loft Gallery walls. Appetizers will be served.
