Obituary: ShirleneVanGundy

Shirlene VanGundy died on April 10 in a hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was 54.

She was born on Feb. 16, 1946 to Earl and El Veta VanGundy in Grand Junction, Colo., where she was raised. She graduated from Grand Junction High School in 1964 and went on to attend Mesa College.

She loved to sing and play with her grandchildren.

She was an avid photographer and took many pictures of her dogs, Mishka and Angel. She moved to Hawaii a few years ago to fulfill her dreams of living in paradise. She loved to walk on the beach and ride her bike at sunset.

She is survived by her daughters Tammy Concord of Truckee; and Tiffany Irvin of Phoenix; sister Norma Rhinehart; brothers Dean, Eldon and Monte VanGundy; grandchildren Brandon, Kaitlin and Emily.
