Obituary: Young-Kraker, Jacquelyn

A celebration of Life for former Truckee resident Jacquelyn Young-Kraker, 51, a New Smyrna Beach, Fla.-resident, was held Oct. 22 at Christ Community Church in New Smyrna Beach with The Reverend Larry Husebo officiating. She died Oct. 3.

Jackie was born in Kissimmee, Fla., and grew up in the Central Florida area before coming to New Smyrna Beach in 1981. She was a 1970 graduate of Winter Park High School. She worked as a dental hygienist for 25 years and most recently as a real estate agent at Ocean Properties in New Smyrna Beach. She was a member of Christ Community Church, Southeast Volusia Chamber and New Smyrna Beach Board of Realtors.

She is survived by her husband Larry; sons Coby of Las Vegas, and Matt Kraker of New Smyrna Beach; sisters Nancy Quilling of New Smyrna Beach and Carol Todd of Lake Mary, Fla., and grandson Christian Kraker. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Margaret Young.

Memorial donations are requested to Christ Community Church, 1210 Mission Road, New Smyrna Beach, FL, 32168.

Jackie will be most remembered for her zest for life and her boundless energy. She made any social event special by her enthusiasm and love for people. She touched many lives and her countless friends will remember her love and service to others. She loved the Lord and now abides in his presence.
