Office products new defense against germs

Special to the Sun

TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. – The Office Boss now offers a way to prevent spreading germs with antimicrobial products to help safeguard families and office workers.

During flu season take preventative measures against germs with office products treated with antimicrobial additives that kill germ-carrying microorganisms and inhibit their growth. Products include items like folders, clipboards, staplers, pens, calculators, binders, keyboards, mouse pads, sheet protectors, stamps, scissors, and hole-punchers. These much-touched products hinder the growth of bacteria, as well as mold and mildew.

“These products especially can act as a first line of defense for office workers, students at schools, and for anyone who works in a shared space. It’s a really exciting, innovative new way to help safeguard ourselves, and therefore our kids, from the endless growing array of flu viruses,” said Jeff Ridgel, owner of the Office Boss.

Antimicrobial office products work to destroy the germs that are spread by touch. The products can’t replace good hygiene, frequent hand washing, sanitizers or proper diet and rest, but can act as a useful supplement to help stop the growth and accumulation of germs.

Office supplies tend to exchange hands frequently, making office areas a prevalent place for germs to be transferred. These supplies are particularly significant for office workers who eat at their desks, as these desks promote the most bacteria growth.

“Unhygienic desktops can create the ideal conditions for damaging microbes to grow and reproduce. In a recent study, researchers found that the average desk had 400 times more bacteria than the average toilet seat,” according to http://www.microban.com.

Office workers may now take new measures to ensure their workspace is sanitary with antimicrobial products into to their daily routine, as well as regularly cleaning their desks and phones with antibacterial wipes or good-old fashioned soap and water.
