Opinion: Be aware of who is who when voting for IVGID trustee
I attended the Incline Village/Crystal Bay Republican Women’s Club May 10 gathering at the Chateau for Republican candidates.
Five candidates for the IVGID Board of Trustees spoke about their agendas. Frank Wright was clear in his anger. Judith Miller was another story. I realized that many of our residents do not know that Judith Miller is the wife of Aaron Katz, or that her intentions are his intentions in sheep’s clothing.
It was easy to project one’s own concerns onto her statements — much as many of us heard Barack Obama talk about hope and change, only later to learn his hope and change and ours did not overlap.
If Ms. Miller is elected to the IVGID Board, and if two other people on the Board lean in the same direction (one is already there), they will undermine and undo much of what makes our community a little piece of heaven.
I’m asking Incline Village/Crystal Bay residents to attend the May 24 session at Sierra Nevada College where the candidates for the IVGID Board of Trustees will respond to questions submitted to editor Kevin MacMillan. Please send clarifying questions to Kevin by May 20 at kmacmillan@tahoebonanza.com. Then please attend and listen with a sensitive ear and a critical mind.
