Opinion: Do not vote for Miller, Olmer in IVGID board race

When asked who to vote for in the IVGID Board Election, I start with who not to vote for:

Don’t vote for Judith Miller, the wife of Aaron Katz. Katz has harassed the District, filed frivolous lawsuits and now owes the district roughly $230,000 in legal fees, plus accrued interest for his actions. Judith Miller says her husband is a “hero” (her words, according to public documents). I think she has a huge conflict of interest.

Don’t vote for Robert Olmer. It appears Olmer is a good friend of Aaron Katz. Katz sent an email to perhaps his closest advisers (as found in the 8/26/15 IVGID Board meeting packet) and guess who was one of the 5 recipients? Robert Olmer.

Additionally, according to IVGID’s board meeting minutes, Olmer has not attended a board meeting since announcing his candidacy this past spring.

So, I support Phil Horan, Matthew Dent and Peter Morris. All have the background and temperament to ensure service costs are low and quality of service high.
