Opinion: March 30 is National Doctors’ Day — thank your local physicians
Tahoe Forest Health System urges all community members to recognize the commitment, sacrifice, and hard work of our local physicians on National Doctors’ Day, which is Thursday, March 30.
The day celebrates the diverse and valuable work doctors perform, and thanks them for their contribution to our health and community.
We rely on physicians for a lot of things — to keep us well, deliver our babies and fix our broken bones. National Doctors’ Day is one time we can give thanks and recognize these talented men and women.
National Doctors’ Day was first observed in 1933 and was officially made a national day of celebration by President George H.W. Bush in 1991.
March 30 was specifically chosen because it marks the anniversary of the first use of ether anesthesia by Dr. Crawford W. Long.
Please join us in recognizing the physicians of Tahoe Forest Health System on National Doctors’ Day. We thank them for the dedication, leadership, and skilled care they give every day.
