Opinion: Thanks for a successful fall blood drive

Once again I need to thank the North Lake Tahoe community for its outstanding support of the blood drive that was held Friday, Oct. 16. Seventy-eight units of blood were donated for this important cause.

And again local merchants stepped up. This year, Mofo’s Pizza offered to provide pizzas at half price, and then turned around and gave them all for free! Raley’s provided more juice and snacks than before, and 7-Eleven provided more newspapers than before. Wow!

And the Rec Center as always helped out above and beyond the call of duty. Many thanks to you all!
