Search and Rescue winter fundraiser Saturday

The Nevada County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue team is holding its annual winter fundaiser in Truckee on Saturday, Feb. 14, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Safeway Center, SaveMart Center and Boreal Ski Area.

Donations are used to purchase and maintain team equipment. Team members are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and they deploy in all weather conditions and all types of terrain to search for missing and stranded persons. Residents can come meet the all-volunteer team (both human and K9). All donations are tax deductible.

Visit http://www.ncssar-nc.org or http://www.facebook.com/NCSSAR to learn more about the team.
