Opinion: Vote for Gerald Herrick for Truckee Fire board
I have known Gerald for about a dozen years. We have been members of several citizen committees during this time. This includes the years Gerald previously served on the Fire Board. Thus, I have had ample opportunity to see him in action.
As a result it is clear to me that he is a prime candidate for election to the Fire Board. He has four years of prior experience as a Fire Board member, giving him an understanding of the dynamics of that special district. He does his homework. He knows the data regarding the issues facing the District.
He, being a non fire department citizen, represents a perspective outside the “box,” thus providing a fresh point of view. His presence on the Fire Board adds a balance to the Board that is essential. I believe we need Gerald on the Fire Board and urge you to cast your vote for him.
