Opinion: Vote for Wallace, Terry and Stephens for airport board

This election season, it’s easy to ignore local races because of the circus of the Presidential race, but local boards, like the Truckee Tahoe Airport Board, can have a big impact on our little towns.

Lisa Wallace, as the director of the Watershed Council and an incumbent on the airport board, has a track record of working to protect our environment and to safeguard our small town quality of life. She has supported the airport’s investment in our region through contributions to a medical heliport in Tahoe City, the Truckee pool, and open space.

I love the airport, but I don’t love it when a jet buzzes my bocce game. Lisa Wallace, Andrew Terry and Rick Stephens share a commitment to reducing noise. They’re also committed to continued investment in our region and to helping manage growth. A local airport can be a community asset — vote for the three candidates who will make ours one. Please vote for Wallace, Terry and Stephens for Airport Board.
