Passport to Dining shows off the best of Tahoeand#8217;s food and drink

KINGS BEACH, Calif. and#8212; Tickets are on sale now for the 6th Annual Passport to Dining, North Tahoeand#8217;s biggest restaurant showcase of the year.

The sixth annual event will be held Thursday, Oct. 7, 6-9 p.m., at the North Tahoe Event Center in Kings Beach. Tickets are $25 for pre-purchase, $30 at the door. Tickets include entrance, tasters from more than 25 local restaurants, breweries and wineries, live music by flamenco guitarist Milton Merlos, silent auction, raffle, grab bag and a commemorative glass.

and#8220;This community event was a huge success last year, so we are working to make it even better this year!and#8221; said Cheri Sprenger, executive director of the North Tahoe Business Association. and#8220;Passport is the best event to taste all that our local restaurants have to offer, under one roof for a great price, with a great crowd of friends and neighbors!and#8221;

This yearand#8217;s event will raise money for the Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Nevada County and North Lake Tahoe, in addition to the North Tahoe Business Association.

Prizes include passes to local ski resorts, a two-night stay at The Pink Mansion in Calistoga, Calif., a one-week timeshare vacation, a huge wine basket, artwork and more.
