TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; The Sixth Annual Pink Party Fundraiser/costume party, hosted by Tahoe Forest Health System Foundation, raises money for Breast Cancer Programs in the Truckee/North Lake Tahoe region. Nearly $110,000 has been raised in the past five years. This yearand#8217;s event will take place at Bar of America, Pacific Crest in Truckee Friday, Oct. 22 at 6:30 p.m.

Earlier this year, Tahoe Forest Health System Foundation was chosen to keep the annual Pink Party a major fundraiser event for local breast cancer programs. The Pink Party originated in 2004 when a group of local women, sponsored by LUNA bar, provided rides and clinics to women in the community. The program required money to be raised for the national organization, Breast Cancer Fund. In 2009, the organization became the Tahoe Pink Foundation whose focus was on keeping funds local. Now, Tahoe Forest Health System will host the event.
