Piping Rock Equestrian Center announces after school programs
TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; Piping Rock Equestrian Center announced a fall trail riding special and an after school program. The fall trail riding pass, featuring eight rides, can be shared with family, friends and can be used for private group rides and scheduled group rides. The youth after school program is available Monday through Thursday from 3:30-5 p.m., 5-6:30 p.m. and features eight group lessons per month.
For eight lessons at $225, youth aged 8-13 will develop a comprehensive understanding of horses through an array of mounted and un-mounted activities. Each student will be assigned their own horse and tack and will get to participate in all aspects of riding, including the groom and care of their horse. Monday through Wednesday, intermediate lessons will meet from 3:30-5 p.m. and advanced from 5-6:30 p.m. On Thursday, Western lessons will meet from 3:30-5 p.m., and a trail ride will be led from 5-6:30 p.m. Lessons will be divided into no more than five riders per group. There are also Thursday afternoon group lessons available for children aged 6-8 from 3:45-5 p.m. One day a week is available at $225 for two months.
Boasting a discount of 50 percent off of normal trail ride pricing, the fall trail ride pass is valid through Nov. 15 for $300. Private rides must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance, and must have a minimum of three people. Scheduled group rides are posted on Piping Rockand#8217;s website weekly. Guests must be at least 10 years old to participate in the fall trail rides. For the month of September, the group rides will depart the barn on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9 a.m., Saturday and Sunday at 11 a.m. Additional rides can be added to pass for $40 per ride.
