Readers Write: Positive and inclusive

Lynn C. Booth
Truckee

Times are tough: so far this week we’ve seen the largest drop in the stock market’s history. The future doesn’t look so good on Wall Street, and we all know what the effect will be here on Main Street. Higher unemployment, more foreclosures, and inflation like we’ve only heard our parents and grandparents talk about. I know that Charlie Brown is the right candidate to work with both sides of the aisle to produce results. He is already calling out for new tax cuts, incentives for growing a new alternative energy market, and balancing the budget. Tom McClintock hasn’t voted for a state budget in over twenty years. My confidence that he’ll get anything done in Washington is very low compared to Charlie’s positive and inclusive approach to politics.
