Readers Write: Send McClintock back to SoCal

When I saw the Swiftboat attack ad by Tom McClintock against Charlie Brown, I searched McClintock’s website for evidence that he or either of his children have served or are serving in the United States military. No evidence. His website does, however, show that he has been a politician since he was 26 years old.

So, how does he dare do a patriotism-related attack on Charlie Brown? Charlie is a retired Lt. Colonel and has a son in the military. Unlike McClintock, Charlie has actually held real jobs ” whether as a teacher or on the police staff in the city of Roseville. But his most important job was serving our country from the Vietnam Era through 1998.

Unlike Charlie Brown, who actually resides in our congressional district, Tom McClintock can’t even vote for himself in this election because he is a resident of Thousand Oaks. You know, Ventura County, where the “plastic” people live.

McClintock is a termed-out politician looking for a job. Send him back to Southern California and tell him to wait his turn to try again for Governor. We don’t need SoCal telling us how to live in our district.
