Resort association is seeking board applicants

The North Lake Tahoe Resort Association will be electing four board

positions this fall.

Open seats are Recreation, Small Lodging, Restaurant and General, which is



open to any qualified member who does not qualify for another membership

class. Potential candidates may only apply for a seat within his/her membership category and must be an owner or manager of an active association business or a designated agent of that member, which does business in the association membership area.



The resort associations board of directors is comprised of 12 members, 11 of which are voting members. Each board seat comes up for election every three years. The Restaurant seat will serve as a two-year term, as the elected director will be completing a term that began last year. Board seats are volunteer positions and board members are required to serve on a minimum of two committees and attend organizational functions.

Once candidates are approved, as qualified to run, ballots will be mailed

Friday, Nov. 9 and are due Thursday, Nov. 29. at 5 p.m. Results will be

announced Wednesday, Dec. 5.

Deadline to register for the election is Friday, Nov. 2 at 5 p.m.
