Ride of the Week

Emma Garrard/Sierra SunMark Chodos with his 1976 International Scout.

I’ve owned it for two years.

I had one 15 years ago and then I had a Travelall, it’s a big four-door kinda like a Suburban.

It’s in mint condition. The motor is clean I could never have taken the time (the previous owner) took (to restore it.)

I use it for my business, Corn of the Cob, at the base of Squaw Valley. I carry all the corn in the truck. I have a hard top for it in the winter.

There’s not a lot of Internationals around. They stopped making them in 1980. They just make the big trucks now.

Come on now this truck is sweet. It’s open you can go anywhere you want. It’s like a big Tonka truck.
