Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe steps out with Community Footprint Program
TAHOE andamp;#8212; The Ritz-Carltonandamp;#8217;s Community Footprints Program has three guiding principles andamp;#8212; engage, contribute and inspire andamp;#8212; as part of their social and environmental responsibility toward the communities in which they operate. Recently, Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe employees participated in two community service activities. Coastal Clean-up EventOn Saturday, Sept. 15, 36 volunteers including 18 ladies and gentlemen from The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe along with their family members and 10 members of the Boys andamp; Girls Club of North Lake Tahoe joined thousands of volunteers state-wide in the Annual California Coastal Cleanup Day at Kings Beach in North Lake Tahoe. Volunteers gathered at Kings Beach from 9 a.m.-noon collecting trash along the beachfront and adjacent community park to further preserve the pristine scenery at the popular state recreation area in North Lake Tahoe. This event is one of 34 initiatives in 2012 organized by The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe Community Footprints Team to benefit the local community and is an extension of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Companyandamp;#8217;s Community Footprint global program centered on the foundation of child well-being, environmental responsibility and hunger and poverty relief.Kids andamp; Horses EventSaturday, Sept. 22 from 3-7 p.m., 24 ladies and gentlemen from The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe volunteered at the Kids andamp; Horses 13th Annual Western Celebration on the North shore of Lake Tahoe. Volunteers from The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe joined in the preparation and dinner service at this annual fundraising event for Kids andamp; Horses which provides safe and educational equine-assisted therapeutic riding to children and adults with disabilities.
