TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; Santa picked a perfect winter morning for his annual fly-in to the Truckee Tahoe Airport. On Dec. 11, 400 young children and their families excitedly watched Santa circle the airport and pull up on the tarmac with a big wave for everyone. The children loved greeting Santa and checking out his airplane. Everyone enjoyed yummy treats and each child had a personal visit with Santa who brought a bag of storybooks and glider planes for almost 400 youths. This quintessential Tahoe Truckee collaboration is made possible by community partners: Truckee Tahoe Airport District Board and staff; Santa and his Elves; (with help from Gerald, Peggy and Jennifer Herrick;) Pilot Rob Lober and The Flying Doctors; Author Carolyn Cousins: Amy Burke and staff at The Runway Cafe: Truckee Donner PUD and Tahoe Truckee Unified School District.

See you at the Airport next December, Santaand#8212;
