TAHOE CITY, Calif. – Sirens, horns, and the North Tahoe High Jazz band ushered in Santa’s arrival via North Tahoe Fire Protection District Truck at the Rotary Club of Tahoe City’s 13th annual Santa’s Party, held at Granlibakken Resort Dec. 9.Three hundred attendees munched grilled hot dogs and cookies and drank hot chocolate as they awaited the Big Guy’s entrance. One little girl opined, “Oh, Santa, Santa, where are you?”Santa thrilled the children as he stepped down from the sparkling red fire truck, ho ho ho-ing and hugging the excited tikes. Each child sat on Santa’s lap, made a Christmas wish and received a gift while the jazz band serenaded the crowd. A log fire smoldered for warming hands and s’more making.Free hats were provided for all by Wholesale Resort Association, with volunteers from Rotary, North Tahoe High School and Squaw Valley Academy helping.Tahoe Tesse also made an appearance high fiving through the crowd.Tahoe City Rotary thanks Safeway, Save Mart, Sierra Sun, Tahoe Truckee Lumber, The Store … Copies & More!, Geared for Games, Granlibakken Ski Area, and Wholesale Resort Association.
