School band students to receive professional feedback in Region V Concert Festival

TAHOE, Calif. and#8212; On Friday, March 23 and Saturday, March 24, all TTUSD middle and high school concert and Jazz bands will perform at a musical festival to be held at North Tahoe Middle School. The annual concert is attended by two professional judges, who in turn evaluate the musical performances and offer professional feedback.

This yearand#8217;s judges are Dr. Royce Tevis, band director at Chico State University, and Dr. Lloyd Roby, professor of music education and trombone at Chico State. After the performance, each judge will spend time giving a clinic to the band as if they were the director.

and#8220;These individuals have a great depth of knowledge regarding band,and#8221; said Lena Meyer, North Tahoe Schooland#8217;s band teacher. and#8220;Weand#8217;re so fortunate to have them here and for our kids to have this opportunity.and#8221;



The performances are scheduled from 3-7 p.m. on Friday and 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday and will take place in the North Tahoe School auditorium. Families are encouraged to attend and watch.
