The following reports are collected from Placer County Sheriffs Office reports from Dec. 5 to Dec. 13.Dec. 5 At 1:41 a.m. a man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. His passengers walked home, according to the report. At 8:23 a.m. someone reported that $3,730 worth of tools and equipment were stolen from the 6100 block of McKinney Drive in Homewood. Dec. 7 At 9:44 a.m. sheriffs deputies responded to a report of a $100 counterfeit bill at the Kings Beach Post Office. The person who passed the bill said she got the $100 from her daughter to purchase a money order. During the investigation, deputies found a large amount of marijuana in the residence, which belonged to a man with a valid medical marijuana prescription. However, deputies said the individual possessed more than the allotted eight ounces of medical marijuana. At 1:50 p.m. a resident of the 3800 block of Summit Road in Carnelian Bay reported that someone used his name to obtain goods and services and charge accounts were opened with the name. The amount of money owed was $4,938. At 5:10 p.m. a resident of the 8500 block of Loch Levon Avenue in Kings Beach reported that someone stole four studded snow tires from her driveway. Dec. 9 At 1:20 a.m. a man who was a passenger in a vehicle was arrested in Tahoe City on suspicion of driving under the influence and a hit and run in Truckee. At 11:27 a.m. a woman reported that her purse was stolen out of her unlocked car that was parked in the 200 block of Fox Street in Kings Beach. At 11:49 p.m. it was reported that someone in a jeep threw a rock through a window of a GMC Jimmy in the 8800 block of Brook Street in Kings Beach. Dec. 10 At 12:50 p.m. a woman reported that her tires were slashed in the 8800 block of Brook Street in Kings Beach. At 5:50 p.m. a resident of the 6200 block of Chamberland Drive in Homewood reported that someone broke a window in a possible attempted burglary. Dec. 11 At 9:39 a.m. a woman was arrested in the 200 block of Chipmunk Avenue in Kings Beach on suspicion of petty theft. She was arrested on a private persons arrest by her roommate, who claimed she broke into his room and took $200.Dec. 12 At 9:35 a.m. a woman reported that her car keys and cigarettes were taken from her purse at Northstar. At 2:57 p.m. a resident of the 400 block of Nightingale Road in Carnelian Bay reported that two cords of wood were stolen Dec. 1 and four other cords of wood were stolen at a later date. At 3:43 p.m. a man reported that his wallet was stolen from an unlocked locker at Northstar.
