Sierra Seniors: Truckee Bingo Night and Spaghetti Feed Jan. 30

Celebrate the opening of Truckeeand#8217;s new Community Center at Sierra Senior Services 9th Annual Truckee Bingo Night and Spaghetti Dinner and#8212; a perfect evening out for the whole family. This event benefits Truckee and North Tahoe area seniors, homebound and disabled adults who rely on freshly cooked meals provided by Meals on Wheels volunteers.

Join the first fun-filled social event at new Center on Saturday, Jan. 30. No-host bar open at 5 p.m. Dinner is served at 6 p.m. Enjoy a delicious Italian feast prepared by Moodyand#8217;s, the Ritz-Carlton and Cottonwood with more surprises to come for only $20. Appetizers, dessert and coffee are included.

After dinner, bingo balls start poppinand#8217; from 7 to 9 p.m. with 10 games for $10, followed by a $10 blackout game. Raffle prizes and a silent auction keep the evening stirring with excitement. Grand prize is a wine country vacation. Raffle tickets are $10 each or 3 for $20.



The Meals on Wheels and congregate meals programs serve more than 24,000 meals annually to Truckee and North Tahoe residents who are homebound or unable to prepare meals for themselves. In addition to providing food, Meals on Wheels volunteers provide companionship and loving care along the way. They are the and#8220;eyes, ears and voiceand#8221; for many seniors who are isolated or living away from family.

Truckee Bingo Night and Spaghetti Dinner is one of several major fundraisers for Sierra Senior Services Meals Programs. Tickets are available at Sierra Senior Services, Truckee Donner Chamber of Commerce and at the New Community Recreation Center. For more information, call 550-7600.
