TAHOE CITY, Calif. and#8212; Summer sign up day: Saturday, May 5 at Rideout Community Center, 740 Timberland Lane, Tahoe City, 8-9:30 a.m. for residents and 9:30-10 a.m. for non-residents. Donand#8217;t miss the annual registration day for Camp Skylandia, swim lessons and sailing. Registration will be taken for other programs as well. Proof of residency will be checked. If youand#8217;re not able to attend contact the recreation office and they will fax you a registration form. Fax it back to 530-583-8452 and they will get you registered when the walk-ins are complete.

Yoga Blend: This gentle but challenging class will focus on stretching the body. This is a beginner or intermediate level course and is held in downtown Tahoe City in the upstairs room of the North Tahoe Arts Center. Classes are held every Wednesday night from 5-6:30 p.m. Register at the class and only $10 per class.

Community garden: The Rideout Community Garden is taking applications for plots this summer. Priority will be given to returning plot owners, with first-time owners given the opportunity to snatch up the remaining plots on Wednesday, May 16. Contact the Parks and Recreation office for more information.

Senior programs: New senior programs will be offered at Rideout Community Center, thanks to the funding of the Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation. They are starting a walking club, offering computer classes, game days and a variety of trips. Contact TCPUD to get on the email list to stay informed of upcoming activities at 530-583-3440, ext. 10.

Softball managerand#8217;s meeting: Monday May 9 at Rideout Community Center, 6 p.m. for menand#8217;s and womenand#8217;s teams and 7 p.m. for coed teams. Teams must come to the meeting with their sponsor fee to get in the league.

Music Together: This is an internationally recognized early childhood music and movement program for children 0-5 and their parents and caregivers. Classes are held on Saturdays at Rideout Community Center, 11-11:45 a.m. To register call 550-9155.

Little Lakers: This introductory sports program will introduce you preschoolers to the basic skills and techniques of sports. Development of fine and gross motor skills while making new friends in a safe environment is what this program is all about. Program runs on Tuesdays from 1-1:45 p.m. and each sport is a four-week session. Soccer begins May 8 with baseball following in May. A minimum of four students required to carry the class.
