Silicon Mountain announces meeting with engineers Michael Lewis and Jonathan Palmer

TRUCKEE, Calif. – The Silicon Mountain Group, a network of technology professionals who live and work in the Tahoe-Truckee area, is pleased to welcome Michael Lewis, electrical design engineer and software team lead and Jonathan Palmer, senior mechanical engineer for Autometrix, Inc., who will speak about Modern Machine Design: Integration Across All Disciplines.

The automation industry is being changed by bleed over from developments in consumer electronics, resulting in smarter, faster and more robust machine tools. An overview of the technology involved in modern industrial automation and machine design will be presented by Autometrix, a leading U.S. developer of process automation for industrial textiles.

The meeting will be on Monday, Feb. 11, 6-8 p.m. at Pizza on the Hill in Tahoe Donner at 11509 Northwoods Blvd., Truckee. A $5 fee includes pizza and soft drinks. Before and after the discussion, there will be time for networking with other technology people who live and work in the Tahoe-Truckee region.
