Silicon Mountain meeting with owner of the Truckee Railyard

Special to the Sun

TRUCKEE, Calif. – The Silicon Mountain Group, a network of technology professionals who live and work in the Tahoe/Truckee area, is pleased to welcome Rick Holliday, founder of Holliday Development and Truckee Development Associates, owner of the Truckee Railyard, who will speak about the significant economic opportunities that exist to expand downtown Truckee.

Working in partnership with the Town of Truckee, his company has created an ambitious plan to develop more than 500 housing units, nearly 100,000 square feet of retail including grocery, a 120-room hotel, a movie theater and performing arts theater.

The meeting will be on Monday, Jan. 14, 6-8 p.m. at Pizza on the Hill in Tahoe Donner at 11509 Northwoods Blvd., Truckee. A $5 fee includes pizza and soft drinks. Before and after the discussion, there will be time for networking with other technology people who live and work in the Tahoe-Truckee region.

This month’s event is co-sponsored by New Leaders (NewLeaders.com) and Clear Capital (ClearCapital.com).
