Singing songs for Truckee seniors

The Girl Scouts of the Sierra Nevada, spread holiday cheer at the Truckee Senior Center. Manager Cheryl Wiggs said, and#8220;It was great fun. We look forward to this every year.and#8221;

The annual event was hosted by Brownie Troop 434. Girls age 5 through 18, sang holiday songs with residents, friends and family.

Local piano player Todd Tanis volunteered his talented fingers to play the baby grand piano while the children and he sang. The whole group enjoyed a dessert reception of hot chocolate, yummy homemade treats and good company.
