Something to shout about: Truckee Youth Football and Cheer takes home trophies

TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; Truckee Cheerleaders competed in the Sierra Youth Football League Localand#8217;s Cheer competition at Spanish Springs High School in Spanish Springs Nevada Nov. 7. There were close to 1000 cheerleaders, ages 5-15, performing and competing from the Sierra Youth Football League cheer squads. The Truckee Cheerleaders made Truckee proud. The Bandit squad kicked off the event with an exciting and#8220;Go Big Redand#8221; cheer and dance. The Maverick squad brought the football game atmosphere to the crowd with their and#8220;Fight Songand#8221; theme and a third place trophy. The Renegade Squad brought the crowd to their feet with a first place energetic routine. JV Squad finished the day with a and#8220;Freak-Outand#8221; theme and a third place spot. Truckee Youth Football and Cheer is proud of the Truckee Cheerleaders for being a class-act and showing the League what Truckee Pride is all about.
