TRUCKEE and#8212;-Soroptimist International of Truckee-Donner held its annual Installation of Officers evening meeting at the home of member Laura Mohun Thursday, June 16, 2011. While presiding over her last official meeting, President Aimee Schaller introduced the dignitary guests in attendance from Soroptimist International of the Americaand#8217;s Sierra Nevada Region (SNR) Governor-Elect Janice Labadie, Secretary Pat Papp, Former SNR Governors Jo Ann Roberts and Sue Camp.

Incoming President Lil Schaller and her board were installed by Sierra Nevada Region Governor-Elect Janice Labadie who is a member of Soroptimist International of Davis. President Liland#8217;s theme is and#8220;Building a Better Tomorrow.and#8221;

and#8220;I see us being able to effect positive and upward momentum in our efforts to improve the quality of life for women and girls. Every effort that each and every member makes in helping with events, serving on committees, mentoring a and#8216;newerand#8217; member, volunteering a helping hand when needed serves as a building block which will allow us to be the best we can be, for ourselves, for our community, and for the world,and#8221; said Schaller.

Schallerand#8217;s board consists of President Elect Noel Trim, Trim Consulting; Recording Secretary Kim Harris, Tahoe Forest Hospital; Corresponding Secretary Sandy Horn, Dickson Realty; Treasurer Nancy Davis, Nancy Davis, Tax Consultant; Treasurer-Elect Alissa Just, Mountain Home Center; Directors Aimee Schaller, Dickson Realty and Melinda Holley, Wren Elizabeth Gifts; Delegates Chris Otto, Sign with Kinders, Tahoe Forest Cancer Center and Lorna Leyton, volunteer and Parliamentarian Kathy Neus, Truckee Donner PUD.

Additionally, newest member Nancy Kautz, Rretired was inducted into the club. A native Californian and Berkeley graduate, Kautz worked as a legal transcriber and was the Senior PGA Tour tournament director for 10 years before retiring.

Soroptimist is an international organization for business and professional women who work to improve the lives of women and girls, in local communities and throughout the world.
