TAHOE CITY, Calif. and#8212; The SouperBowl is Creekside Cooperative Charter Schooland#8217;s annual fundraising event. It is a day for the family and friends of the Creekside community to come together to celebrate the school an community and open to all. The idea of the SouperBowl is simple: Eat soup made by local chefs out of bowls made by local students!

Each student at Creekside paints a ceramic bowl in the weeks prior to the SouperBowl. (You may can also paint a bowl, for a prearranged price, at the local pottery studio.) At the event, the bowls are displayed and every person who has painted can use their bowl to eat a delicious meal of soup and salad created by local chefs. Also on tap for the evening: a silent auction, a live auction, student performances, displays of student work, games, crafts, desserts and fun!

This is a fundraising effort to support enrichment programs. The programs include daily Spanish instruction, and weekly science, music, art and P.E. programs. To help raise funds admission tickets are sold to the general public and extended family members. Also, donations from the community support live and silent auctions.

There will be lots of games and crafts for the children and a and#8220;kids cubbyand#8221; area. Creekside students will perform and on display will be lots of art and other enrichment-related work. This is a collaborative effort between parents, teachers, students and community members.

Celebrate amazing students and incredible community!
