Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows raise more than $11k for Project MANA

TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows are proud to announce they will present a check to Project MANA for $11,040 as a result of their and#8220;Food Fightand#8221; donation drive. The two resorts engaged in a friendly competition to raise money for Project MANA in early December. Each resort donated $500 to get the and#8220;Food Fightand#8221; started and encouraged guests to participate and make a donation to help alleviate hunger in the community during the holiday season.

and#8220;The need is real and the people in need are an important part of our community,and#8221; said Andy Wirth, CEO of Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows. and#8220;We felt that this was something that we had to do to help our community during these challenging times.and#8221;

Starting in December and lasting through New Yearand#8217;s Day, guests of Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows were encouraged to donate to Project MANA through the resortsand#8217; online stores or as part of any lift ticket or season pass purchase. One hundred percent of donations went directly to Project MANA.

Project MANAand#8217;s role is to make sure individuals and families have enough to eat during the tough times. Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows appreciate the many members of the community and guests who joined them and made a donation to Project MANA.
