Squaw Valley writers events
Fiction, poetry and screenwriting are all part of the program as the Squaw Valley Community of Writers hosts their 32nd season of writing workshops and literary events at Squaw Valley USA.Throughout the summer, aspiring writers gather at Squaw Valley for special fiction, poetry and screenwriting workshops and talks led by writer-teachers, editors and professionals from the Community of Writers Staff.In conjunction with the workshops, the Community of Writers offers a variety of afternoon and evening events open to the public including readings, talks, lectures and panel discussions.Highlighting the summer’s literary calendar are two unique presentations, a poetry reading and book signing with Lucille Clifton, Li-Young Lee, Sharon Olds, Brenda Hillman and Galway Kinnell and a special fund-raising evening with bestselling authors Janet Fitch, Anne Lamott and Amy Tan.
