Steve Hollabaugh honored with service award

TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; Several Service Awards were presented at the conclusion of the Utah Associated Municipal Power Systemsand#8217; Member Conference in Jackson Hole, Wyo. UAMPS General Manager Doug Hunter presented the awards.
and#8220;UAMPS has been served by many distinguished individuals who have directed the work of UAMPS through the board of directors,and#8221; Hunter said. and#8220;Serving on the board takes a great deal of time, commitment, and effort. These are the people who look out for the future of public power, making decisions that ensure the lights will stay on for future generations. We greatly appreciate their wisdom and experience. Combined, they have many decades of service.and#8221;
The awards were presented based on years of service. Steve Hollabaugh of the Truckee Donner Public Utility District was honored with a five-year award.
Presentations on electric vehicles, smart grid, rooftop solar, energy efficient buildings, and financing public power utilities highlighted the Member Conference, hosted by Lower Valley Energy, a UAMPS member that serves the Jackson area.
