Steve Teshara to speak at Silicon Mountain Network business meeting

TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8211; Silicon Mountain, a networking group of technology professionals in the Tahoe-Truckee region, will have its next meeting Monday, March 14, 6-8 p.m. at Tahoe Donnerand#8217;s Pizza on the Hill, 11509 Northwoods Blvd.

Steve Teshara, of Sustainable Community Advocates, will present information about the Lake Tahoe Prosperity Plan. The plan includes several elements of interest to local technology professionals, including a regional broadband strategy, intended to significantly expand broadband access in the greater Lake Tahoe region. A member of the Tahoe Prosperity Center project team, Teshara says, and#8220;We are very interested in working with the Silicon Mountain Network on strategies we can pursue to attract more tech professionals to live and work in and#8216;Silicon Mountainand#8217; rather than and#8216;Silicon Valley.and#8217; Our cluster strategy working groups will provide plenty of opportunities for input and participation.and#8221; A 38-year resident of the Tahoe area, Teshara has an extensive background and experience in community and regional initiatives. Before and after the discussion, network with other technology people who live and work in the Tahoe-Truckee region.
