Sugar Bowl Resort raises funds for Boarding for Breast Cancer and the HERA foundation

DONNER SUMMIT and#8212; On Saturday Feb. 26, Sugar Bowl Resort hosted the 4th annual B4BC Shred The Love contest and fundraiser for Boarding For Breast Cancer and the HERA Foundation. Due to heavy snowfall on the Friday evening before the contest, the original rail jam format was changed to a team powder video contest. Four teams of six took helmet cameras out on the mountain in search of the best powder video of the day. The silent auction, raffle and contest entries raised more than $4,500 for the two foundations and provided awareness for the prevention of breast and ovarian cancer. The resort would like to thank all the event sponsors including Marmot, Camelbak, Volcom, Smith, Ride, Snowbomb, Tahoe Dave’s, Boards N Motion, Paul Mitchell, Coors Light, the Tourist Club Bar, Nomis, Tech Nine, Java Sushi and other local businesses. Thank you to all the contest participants and guests who donated money for these great causes.

Sugar Bowl Resort continues to deliver authentic alpine adventure with an incredible lineup of programs and amenities. Visit or call 530-426-9000 for more information.
