Sunshines: Thank You Letters
Dear Tahoe community and dear friends and relatives of Bud Davis, Jessica, Randy and I were unable to adequately express our sincere appreciation for the outpouring of community support and love we have felt since the death of our loving father and husband. We were unable to greet and hug each and every one of you who were there, who were stuck in weather or traffic and could not get there, and who sent good thoughts from nearby and afar; but we want to thank all of you from the bottom of our hearts. It means so much to us. Thank you for the cards, prayers, donations, flowers, greetings and hugs. Bud would revel in the acknowledgement of the positive way in which he touched us all and lives on in us all and your support gives us much comfort. Special thanks to Patti and Tom Lovely; Lisa Adams and The Store; Robyn, Karen, Marilyn, Deedee and Squaw Kids and Cindy Gustafson!Jessica, Randy and Nanci Davis
On behalf of myself and the other nine artists and artisans who were represented at the Artisans Market Place, Id like to extend a big thank you to all those who patronized our little Brickelltown shop during December and January. It truly was a wonderful experience to be a part of the retail and artists communities of Truckee. We were all grateful for the opportunity to have our handmade wares and works of art displayed and available for purchase. I hope that as support and appreciation for local talent grows, a year-round artisan co-op can thrive and survive in our mountain town. Thanks also to all of the other artists who participated in this enterprise: Dave Carpenter (soaps), Lorna Knoblach (photography), Frederick Noerdlinger (watercolors), Rebecca Maidman (hand knits), Annaleise Miller (illustrations), Marsha Rafter (ceramics), Ann Thennes (gourds), Ursula (purses) and Peggy Wright (mats andamp; market bags).Holly BeatieHigh Sierra Botanicals

Thanks to PlumpJack Conference Center for frequently hosting our speaker events. Most recently, Liz Dugan had everything arranged as requested for Dick Dorworth and Robert Coats, and it sure was nice to arrive at a well set-up, warm room after driving through the snow and wind to get there. The complimentary venue allows us to offer cultural and educational programs at minimal cost to the community.Janet Zipser ZipkinExecutive DirectorSquaw Valley Institute
